Candidates willing to appear in both the examination, the Civil Services Examination and Indian Forest Service Examination can apply through only one common online application form for both if they fulfil all eligibility criteria.
The candidates who wish to apply for Indian Forest Service Examination need to appear and qualify the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination. Once they get success in qualifying preliminary examination they will be eligible for the second stage of Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview).Stage of UPSC mains will not be same for both the categories.
1. ELIGIBILITY FOR THE UPSC EXAM:
First, you should ensure that you are fulfilling all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Your admission at all the stages of the UPSC exam will be provision till you satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions.
Mere issue of Admit Card to you will not imply that your candidature has been finally cleared by the UPSC.
Commission verifies of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidate has qualified for Interview/Personality Test.
2. Online Registration for UPSC Exam:
You are required to apply for UPSC exams through online only, for the purpose you should visit the website www.upsconline.nic.in
Your application will not be accepted by any other mode. You can understand the procedure of filling exam form with the help of instructions given on the above-mentioned website.
3. Submission Date for Online Registration Form:
The Online Applications for the above said examination can be filled up to 17th March 2017 till 18.00 Hours.
4. e-ADMIT CARD FOR UPSC EXAM:
e-Admit Card for UPSC exam shall be issued three weeks before the commencement of the examination to the eligible candidates. You can download your e-Admit Card from UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in]. The UPSC will not post Admission Certificate. You should take all cautious while giving valid active E-Mail I.D. at the time of filling up Online Application Form.
5.PROVISION OF NEGATIVE MARKING:
In UPSC Exam, aspirants can’t afford to guess answers because the provision of penalty in the form of Negative Marking for wrong answers in the Objective Type Question Papers is there.
6.BLACK PEN ONLY:
For UPSC exam, you should carry your black ball pen for both writing and marking answers in the OMR sheet [Answer Sheet]. You can’t use pens with any other colours. Do not use Pencil or Ink pen. Don’t forget to read carefully the “Special Instructions” given in Appendix-III of the Notice from the UPSC website.
7. FACILITATION COUNTER OF UPSC:
You can contact UPSC’s Facilitation Counter near ‘C’ Gate of its campus personally or through Telephone No. 011-23385271/011-23381125/011-23098543 on working days between 10.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs. for any guidance/information/clarification regarding your online applications, candidature etc.
8. MOBILE PHONES STRICTLY BANNED IN UPSC PRELIMS:
Mobile phones, Bluetooth or any other communication devices are not allowed inside UPSC examination premises.
It would be better to not carry any of the banned items including mobile phones/Bluetooth or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination. The Commission will not be responsible either for an arrangement for safe-keeping or for any loss.
