UPSC prelims exam of IAS, IPS, IFS and all other civil services  were open from 7 February,2018. Last date was 6 March,2018Link to application was same for IAS and Indian Forest Services Form 2018. This Preliminary exam is same for IAS, IPS, Indian Foreign Services as well as Indian Forest Services. UPSC Online registration forms are to be filled by aspirants of all above services.

If you wish to appear any of the above civil cervices, you can’t miss the UPSC online registration form process starting from 7 Feb,2018 which will run upto 6 March,2018.


UPSC Online Application Form For IAS and Indian Forest Service 2018.


The candidates who wish to appear in Indian Forest Service Exam 2018 need to appear and qualify the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam.

So, they need to apply from the same UPSC online registration form process. Once they get success in qualifying preliminary examination of 2018, they will be eligible for the second stage of Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview).

After clearing prelims, further stages of UPSC will not be same for both the categories.

 How to fill Online Application For UPSC?

First Log on to official link given above

UPSC opens its IAS registration link after declaration of recruitment or exam notification. If notification is out, you can proceed further and will not face any problem. You just need to read carefully everything written on the screen, you would understand next step to be taken.

On  the ‘Examination’ menu. You will find one link which will display a set of two options namely

“PART-I Registration” and “PART-II Registration”.

This option will come in front of you as soon as UPSC opens its Online Application Process.

For “PART-I Registration” link.

It will take you to the list of all the active upsc online application for different examinations, now select to apply for examination you wish to apply for.

·         Try to avoid multiple submissions of applications.

·         If you wish to resubmit RID; application fee will be paid again. Fee submitted against one form will not be adjusted against any other RID.


Before moving for UPSC online registration process, know about followings.


  1. Check your UPSC eligibility for 2018

You should ensure that you are fulfilling all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Your admission at all the stages of the UPSC exam will be provision till you satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions.

Remember, mere issue of Admit Card to you will not imply that your candidature has been finally cleared by the UPSC.

Commission verifies of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidate has qualified for Interview/Personality Test. Application via UPSC online procedure will waste your money, if you don’t fulfill eligibility criteria.

Don’t waste your attempt, check your eligibility first.


  1. Only Online Application Form for UPSC Exam 2018:

You are required to apply for UPSC exams 2018 through online only, for the purpose you should visit the website www.upsconline.nic.in . 

If you are looking for offline application, it is not available. Your application will not be accepted by any other mode. You don’t need to take UPSC Online Application process as a tough task. We will explain you in detail complete process of applying through online for UPSC.


  1. Submission Date for UPSC Online Application Form 2018:

UPSC Online Applications for the above said examination can be filled up to given date i.e. 6 March,2018 only. To check last date check UPSC Calendar or UPSC Notification.

  1. e-Admit Card For UPSC Exam 2018:

e-Admit Card for UPSC exam shall be issued three weeks before the commencement of the examination to the eligible candidates. You can download your e-Admit Card from UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in]. The UPSC will not post Admission Certificate. You should take all cautious while giving  valid active E-Mail I.D. at the time of filling up UPSC Online Application Form 2018.

  1. Facilitation Counter OF UPSC 2018:

UPSC makes arrangement for giving solution of all your queries. Online application process has been made to make the process faster but UPSC also extends its supportive hands through its facilitation counters. You can contact UPSC’s Facilitation Counter near ‘C’ Gate of its campus personally or through  Telephone No. 011-23385271/011-23381125/011-23098543 on working days between 10.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs. for any guidance/information/clarification regarding your online application forms, candidature etc.


  1. Moblie Phones are strictly BANNED in UPSC Exams 2018:

Use of technology is allowed till UPSC online application form process. Yes, of-course you can do IAS preparation via internet but Mobile phones, Bluetooth or any other communication devices are not allowed inside UPSC examination premises.

It would be better to not carry any of the banned items including mobile phones/Bluetooth or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination. The Commission will not be responsible either for an arrangement for safe-keeping or for any loss.


  1. Check for UPSC Exam pattern 2018

You cannot fill Application form just to appear in Civil Services Exam. Check previous years papers and understand exam pattern, if you feel that you are comfortable this year then only fill form.


  1. Check for UPSC exam center.

Before starting your online registration process, decide your exam center. Take care of distance from your native place, availability of transportation and lodging facility etc.
